Charity Single: Liam McClair - We Should Talk. Adressing an important topic in a spirited and optimisic musical fashion

'We should talk ...' - words many of you might associate with a bad awakening, the foreshadowing of something deliberately devastating to happen, of news you rather not want to receive, of words you rather not want to be spoken.

In this case though prick up your ears and listen carefully when Wilmslow-bred songsmith Liam McClair asks you to pay attention whilst he bears his heart out about unvoiced emotions and words left unsaid between father and son in his latest single release 'We Should Talk'. Following the narration and subsequently the conversation between the two men, the listener learns about the hard time both are having to speak frankly when it comes to their feelings, however, also finds that they are willing to try put hesitation and reservation behind and open up to each other. And that is good news, a positive and important message triggered by a phrase people usually expect to cause trouble and tribulations; good news as it helps raise awareness of a fundamental yet often forgotten fact: we all are human, we all feel joy, pain and everything in between - and we all, women and men equally, should be allowed to communicate our emotions freely without fearing to be stigmatized. To see this topic (often wrongly classified by society - a society whose definition of masculinity deems emotional release weak, effeminate even - as a taboo) addressed in a song is awesome; to hear it's musically fortified by upbeat, peppy melodics and ardently atmospheric guitar play - which go along well with Liam's mellifluous and souly vocal style - is brilliant and worth talking, indeed shouting about!

Enough said (for now) though, let's focus on listening ...
